TO SPEAK WITH A WINDOW SPECIALIST

Do you feel a draft throughout your home in the winter?  Does it sound like your next-door neighbors are in the house with you? Are your energy bills getting more and more expensive?  These are all questions every Appleton homeowner wants to say “no” to but if you say yes to any of these questions, then it might be time to replace the windows in your home.  Here is what you need to know about the replacement window installation process:

First Steps of Replacement Window Installation

On the first day of installation, our in-house installation crew will typically arrive between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.  Each opening will be measured to ensure a proper fit before removing your home’s old windows.  The team will look for any damage to the opening like mold, deterioration, or rot before installing the new replacement window – NOTE: repairing the opening of any damage will not be an extra cost to you.  The team then ensures that the window is square and flush to the frame and ready to be fastened with rust-proof screws and finished with high density and low expansion insulation.

Final Steps of Replacement Window Installation

The final steps to replacing the old windows with new windows include the process of custom bending the metal coil to provide an appealing low-maintenance finish to the outside of the window.  We then use silicone to seal the seams and clean the windows from the inside out.

The LAST STEP is to have the homeowner sign off before our crews leave the home to ensure that the job was done to the homeowner’s satisfaction.  This last step ends the day of the installation process.  Most of our replacement window installation projects are completed in one day.

Every company does the installation process differently but they don’t always do it correctly.  At AHT Wisconsin Windows, we ONLY use in-house installation crews so we can be upfront and honest about our installation process.  We know who is coming to your home, their skill level, and the full scope of your project before even starting.  If you have questions about the replacement window process, call 888-874-9339 to schedule an in-home estimate.
